LINA’S STORY
Lina, 33 years old, has a family of five members. She decided to raise the required amount for laser vision correction surgery. However, upon examination by the doctor, another issue emerged: she suffers from low vision acuity; myopia (short sightedness) of 8.5 in the right eye and 9 degrees in the left eye, with a deviation of 2.5 in the right eye and 2.75 in the left eye. She needs to undergo Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery in both eyes to achieve a vision of 6/6.
ICL is a lens implanted in the eye, typically used as part of treatment for cataracts or to correct other vision problems such as myopia and hyperopia.
