TAIM’S STORY
Taim is 9 years old. Seven years ago, in an unexpected and heartbreaking moment, he was involved in a painful accident that completely changed the course of his childhood. At just two years old, he fell into a pot of hot broth, suffering severe burns to the lower half of his body. The first moments were filled with fear and intense pain, and since that day, a long journey of treatment and suffering began.
Today, Taim still carries the marks of that accident. He suffers from deep burn scars on his buttocks, lower back, and legs, which restrict his movement and cause him continuous pain. He currently uses a silicone compression garment and medical ointments in an attempt to improve his condition, but these measures are no longer sufficient.
After a medical examination with a specialist at Al Takhassusi Hospital, it was determined that he needs multiple surgical procedures to remove the scars and improve both his physical condition and mobility, allowing him to live normally like other children his age.
Taim’s father works as a school guard with a limited income that barely covers the family’s basic needs. The family lives in Al-Himmah Al-Ordonyah, a remote village in Irbid Governorate, which makes their circumstances even more challenging and resources more limited.
Taim dreams of running and playing without pain, and of living his childhood freely, without the constraints of scars and wounds. His story is not just a passing accident, but a journey of pain and hope that needs a helping hand to help him begin a new chapter of life free from suffering.
