OBADAH’S STORY

On 12/08/2024, Obadah underwent complex open-heart surgery to replace a heart valve. The surgery was highly complicated due to severe adhesions, and during the procedure, there was significant bleeding, causing Obadah's circulatory system to stop. This led to complications affecting his liver, kidneys, and brain due to low blood pressure.

Obadah spent 17 days in the intensive care unit (ICU) instead of the anticipated three days, and underwent additional surgical and drainage procedures to clear blood clots from his jugular vein and fluid from around his right lung.

These unforeseen complications increased the total cost of Obadah's treatment to 24,460 JOD, even after a discount provided by Khalidi Hospital. The amount collected in the initial campaign was 8,000 JOD, which has been paid to the hospital. Therefore, 16,460 JOD is still owed.
