SHAHEM’S STORY
In one of the villages near Tafila, about 30 kilometers away, Shahem lives with his family of four. The village is classified as one of the poorest areas in the country, lacking basic life necessities. Shahem's father, who suffered from heart problems, passed away a year ago, leaving his wife with the heavy responsibility of raising and caring for their four young children, including 7-year-old Shahem.
Providing for some of Shahem and his siblings' needs is beyond their mother's financial means. She does not work and relies solely on a small amount of financial aid provided by an organization after her husband’s death. Clothing, in particular, is a challenging necessity to secure. It is considered a luxury for Shahem's mother, as her children frequently wear out their clothes and constantly need new ones due to their growing ages.
