MOHAMMAD’S STORY

Mohammad, 36 years old, and a father of one, experienced a life-changing event five years ago when he suffered a stroke while sleeping. The stroke affected his auditory nerve, causing sudden and complete hearing loss in both ears. This drastic change cost him his job and placed heavy emotional and financial burdens on him.

In March 2025, Mohammad underwent a cochlear implant surgery in his right ear—a delicate procedure that involves inserting an electronic device to help individuals with severe hearing loss regain the ability to hear sounds and understand speech.

However, without a stable income, affording the specialized batteries required for the external cochlear processor has become a daily struggle. Mohammad needs two batteries every day, and one pack of ten strips lasts only a month, making the cost unsustainable for him.

Today, Mohammad’s most urgent need is covering the cost of batteries to keep his implant processor functioning, allowing him to continue hearing, reconnect with those around him, and regain a sense of normal life.
