MANSOUR’S STORY

Mansour suffers from Diabetes Mellitus type 1, a condition where one’s blood glucose (sugar) level is too high because the body cannot make insulin, the hormone responsible for regulating blood sugar levels.  Unfortunately, Mansour will live with this condition for the rest of his life, therefore, a significant chunk of his income as a guard at a farm goes towards covering the monthly expenses for his medications. This leaves him unable to cover the rest of the other essential monthly expenses, including providing for his family of six, being their sole provider.
