MANSOUR'S STORY
Mansour, 29 years old, the eldest and the only provider of income for his family of six.
Mansour was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes in his childhood, a condition he inherited from his parents at the age of 12, when Mansour’s body began to lose weight, feel severe thirst, and frequent urination. When he consulted a doctor for an examination of the pancreas, the results showed that his pancreas stopped working and no longer secretes insulin. As he journeyed on with Diabetes and started taking Insulin, it affected his vision which became weak. The more time went on, his eyesight weakened further until it became foggy due to advanced Retinopathy (damage to the retina) and Macular Degeneration in both eyes, as well as Fat Deposits.
