HANAN’S STORY
Hanan, a 58-year-old widow, lost her husband three years ago. Since then, she has taken on the full responsibility of caring for her four grandchildren, who have become her whole world, and whose eldest is just 13 years old.
Despite her immense love for them, their life is very difficult: She lives in one of the refugee camps and relies solely on charitable assistance to provide their daily meals. But with four growing children, their needs far exceed what little support she receives, especially when it comes to food, which is often barely enough.
To make things harder, her washing machine broke down and is no longer functional, adding to her daily burden, particularly with young children who constantly need care and clean clothes.
Today, Hanan needs support to continue caring for her grandchildren and to provide them with a decent life, free from hardship and need.
