SAIF’S STORY

Saif was only seven when he lost his father. Now, at 15, he is the only son and the future provider for his widowed mother and elderly grandmother. They live in Al-Hasa, one of the most impoverished areas in Tafileh, in a house that is falling apart around them.

Their home, barely 110 sqm, is unsafe. The walls are cracked, the roof leaks, and most of the house has no electricity; only the kitchen and bathroom have power. Without a front door, they live in fear every night.

Saif’s mother earns less than 150 JOD a month, barely covering food and daily needs. They have no way to afford the critical repairs needed to make their home safe.
