Bread is the most basic item that can be placed on a family’s table, yet for dozens of poor families in Jerash Refugee Camp, it has become a daily burden that is difficult to afford.
A family of seven consumes around 2 kilograms of bread per day, at a cost of no more than one JoD. This may seem like a small amount to many, but it adds up to 30 JoDs per month, an amount that exceeds the ability of many families living below the poverty line and struggling to meet their basic needs.
Therefore, we are launching the “bread of safety for the poorest families in Jerash Refugee Camp” campaign, aiming to provide daily bread for 50 of the most vulnerable families. The goal is to ease part of their heavy living burdens and ensure access to basic food on their tables.
Your donation today, no matter how small, can provide a loaf of bread to a family in need and give them a sense of reassurance and dignity. One JOD may not mean much to some, but for these families it means a full day’s meal.
Join us in providing bread for 50 families in need, and make your giving a reason to relieve hunger and bring a smile to the faces of children.
Families will be given bread vouchers (30 vouchers per family according to their consumption), which can be redeemed at one of the local bakeries in the camp. The families can use the vouchers to receive bread or ka'ak.
