Laith needs an unexpected, six week course of antibiotics, and thankfully Hikma Pharmaceuticals donated it

As mentioned in the previous case update, Laith’s leg had an unexpected and very severe bacterial infection. After consulting with a bone infection specialist, the doctor recommended that Laith takes a long course of antibiotics - Tigecycline 50 mg injections at a pace of two injections per day for six weeks, at a cost of 34.57 JOD per injection. That means Laith requires a total of 90 needles at a cost of 3,111 JOD.

This amount wasn’t accounted for in the campaign, but thankfully Hikma Pharmaceuticals was contacted and informed of Laith’s case, and they decided to donate all of this in full. We would like to convey our appreciation to Hikma Pharmaceuticals for their support of such humanitarian causes.

On Sunday 04/12/2022 the needles were obtained from Hikma Pharmaceuticals, and the beneficiary received the needles via Specialty Hospital and began taking the antibiotics.
