DUAA’S STORY
Duaa is 33 years old, a young widow whose life came to a halt in 2018 when she lost her husband at the age of 30 due to an electrical accident at home. The loss did not come alone, her five-year-old daughter also passed away in the same incident. Duaa’s heart remained tied to her infant son at the time, who was only one and a half years old.
Today, that child has grown into an 11-year-old boy in the fifth grade, carrying fragmented memories of a father he barely knew and a sister who left before she finished playing. Trying to hold on to life again, Duaa remarried a man who had a child who lost his mother after a long illness. Thus, two orphaned children came together under one roof, united by loss and embraced by a mother striving to be their entire world.
Duaa is not seeking pity, but safety and stability for children who deserve gentler beginnings than the endings they were given. Her story is one of continuous patience, a motherhood that carries two wounds, and hope planted anew each morning despite the weight of memories
