ABDALLAH’S & MARIAM’S STORY
Shefa, a 63-year-old woman, has continued to work as a seamstress to care for and raise her grandchildren after her son passed away in 2017 at the age of 22. He suffered from severe headaches, which eventually led to partial paralysis, deeply affecting him. After months of suffering, he passed away.
Following his death, he left behind two young children, Mariam aged two and Abdallah nine months, whom Shefa took under her care. With no other options, she assumed the responsibility and expenses of raising them.
As the years passed, Mariam is now 11, and Abdallah is 9. Shefa, with immense patience and love, has nurtured her grandchildren, instilling good values and manners. Her sacrifice has left a profound impact, one they will forever remember with gratitude.
