Save Baby Mumin. Help buy his life saving ventilator (7,000 JD’s urgent by Jan 19).

THE URGENT NEED

New born baby Mumin urgently needs a home ventilator type “ResMed Astral 150” to leave the ICU unit in one week.  7,000 JD’s need to be urgently raised in ONE WEEK to buy his life-saving equipment and ensure the success of his recovery. 

This is one part of many costly bills (such as expensive injections, various medications, hospital bills, and more). Two of Mumin’s siblings already passed away from the same disease. We invite YOU to be part of our supporter family and make a difference for Baby Mumin and his parents.

MEDICAL HISTORY 

Mumin is affected by a severe case of neuromuscular disorder. He has type 1 SMA spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and is currently intubated in the ICU. He is stable, intubated for breathing with a ventilator support, and is feeding through a nasogastric tube. 

Symptoms started at 1 week old. In December 2021, when Mumin was three months old, he developed pneumonia and was admitted to the ICU. On January 4th 2022, he was transferred to the central hospital in Amman. He is stable for now, but to ensure his full recovery he must exit the ICU by next week with a home ventilator which will be a lifesaving move.

HOME VENTILATOR BENEFITS 

The home ventilator is reserved for Mumin and waiting to be purchased as soon as possible.

It will provide support for baby Mumin whose condition would ordinarily require lifelong care at the hospital and high medical fees. The ventilator will reduce exposure to hospital-borne infections (especially during the pandemic), reunite him with parents which greatly enhances normal development, and frees hospital ICU beds for other acutely ill patients.

In addition, beneficiaries such as the Ukrainian Embassy and the Jordanian Ministry of Health have been involved as well.
