Raghad’s Story

Raghad's father was unable to pay her university tuition fees due to his limited income - as he works as a teacher - and due to the large financial burdens and obligations incurred on him as the head of a family of nine people.

In 2020, Raghad completed her Tawjihi with a literary major, with a GPA of 70.2%, and enrolled to study at the University of Jordan, majoring in Business Administration. Raghad could not enroll at the university competitively as she is from the Gaza Strip. So in order to ensure she gets a good education, she had to register via the parallel system, where the credit hour costs 45 JOD with an additional 86 JOD for registration.

Raghad started studying at the university and has already been delayed twice because she was unable to pay her tuition and registration fees. At the end of January 2023, Raghad will have completed two full years with an average of 45 academic hours out of 132, and two academic years remaining with an average of 87 academic hours.
