Qusai’s surgery on the right foot was successful, and he’s on his way to recovery.
By the grace of God, Qusai had a successful operation on September 15, 2022, correcting the deformity in his right foot. Qusai was in a great deal of pain during the first two weeks after the operation, but he started feeling a little better with each passing day after that.
The specialist doctor advised that he postpone the operation on his left foot until he recovers completely so that he does not lose mobility for a long period of time.
On September 24, Qusai visited the specialist doctor to change the gauze and remove the stitches. However, the rod remained in his foot (from the heel area to the ankle to hold the bones together and heal). The doctor put a cast and recommended that Qusai remain lying on his back, keeping his leg elevated. Qusai is currently using crutches to help him walk without his foot touching the ground and causing any issues.
A second appointment was scheduled for another checkup after two months, on 01/12/2022. That is when the doctor will determine if Qusai is ready for his second operation on his left foot based on his recovery.
