Hamzeh’s STORY

Hamzeh, 16 years old, is an orphan who lost both his parents when he was only nine years old, and he has been living with his sister ever since.

Since his sister’s financial situation depends on a small monthly income from their father’s pension, she cannot afford to enroll Hamzeh in a university or college, so the best option was to enroll her brother in Wadi Al-Seer Vocational Training College, given that Hamzeh loves to work with aluminum, and he is very passionate about designing kitchens. He hopes to one day open up an aluminum factory of his own.

Hamzeh started the first semester at the beginning of September 2022. Studying in this college is free of charge and only requires a registration fee of JOD 40 and training equipment to use when starting the practical training that lasts for two months at the end of the second semester in one of the places selected by the college.

The period of study in Wadi Al-Seer Vocational Training College is a full year, starting from September 2022 and ending in September 2023 by obtaining a certificate accredited by UNRWA and the Ministry of Education, which is considered a strongly credible certificate that qualifies Hamzeh to enter the labor market, as the college focuses on equipping its students with real-life skills and experiences related to labor markets in the Middle East region
