MARYAM’S STORY

Maryam, 44 years old, is married and a mother of five children. Her eldest child is 22 years old, while the youngest is 12. She devoted her life to caring for her family and providing stability for her children. Their life was once simple, filled with love and togetherness, until unexpected hardships changed everything.

The family’s suffering began when her husband, the sole provider, developed a severe tooth infection. Due to financial difficulties, he repeatedly postponed treatment, choosing instead to spend whatever little income he earned on his family’s essential needs. He believed his children’s food and necessities were more important than his own pain, so he endured silently until his condition worsened dramatically.

With time, the infection spread throughout his body, affecting his stomach and eventually damaging his kidneys. His health gradually deteriorated until he became unable to move or work, leaving the family without its provider at the time they needed him most.

As for Maryam, she is a dignified and self-respecting woman who refuses to ask others for help. She chose to face the crisis quietly and with strength, taking jobs cleaning houses to provide whatever she could for her children. The small income she earns is barely enough, yet she accepts it with patience and gratitude to keep her family going and protect them from need.

Today, Maryam carries an overwhelming burden on her shoulders, caring for her sick husband, raising her children, and struggling daily to provide a livelihood. She is in urgent need of support from compassionate people who can help ease this heavy load and allow her to continue her journey with dignity and hope.

With your support, Maryam and her family can find relief from this hardship and regain some stability after years of suffering.
