Little Rahma needs your support to live a normal life with the best prosthetic limb
CASE INFO & AMOUNT HAS BEEN UPDATED ON MAY 19, 2022
AMOUNT NEEDED
Cost price of components needed to manufacture the sophisticated prosthetic leg for Rahma is JOD 2,000. Tadamon is partially supporting this campaign by raising 630 JOD in donations.
CALL TO ACTION
Rahma needs your support for her new prosthetic leg, because she had it amputated when she was only three years old due to a birth defect.
The limb will be made by specialist Charl Stenger from OrthoMENA who will be carrying out a voluntary mission in partnership with Atfaluna to support Rahma and a group of other children. He is providing all clinical care, services, and manufacturing at no cost.
ٌِRAHMA’s STORY
Rahma, 10 years old, was born with a congenital birth defect in her right leg and had to have it amputated up to the knee before being fitted for a prosthetic limb in 2015 when she was 3 years old. She has since outgrown the limb and is in need of a new one.
Rahma lives with her parents and 3 siblings. The family lives in abject poverty: the father lost his hand in a mine explosion while grazing his sheep and the mother has a hearing difficulty. The family relies on help from relatives and financial assistance from the National Aid Fund.
