INTESAR’S STORY
Intesar, 50 years old, lives with her seven-member family in rough conditions in their 90 square meter home. During winter, the rain seeps into the house, the doors are broken, and the cold winds make the house freezing. They don't have carpets or even a heater for warmth. They only focus on the roof of the house, but in reality, they feel as though they are living outdoors, as described by the field supervisor during their visit.
The house consists of two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom that occupies less than a meter of space taken from the kitchen.
The family's total income does not exceed 100 JOD, which is not enough to meet the basic needs of a family of seven. Consequently, it's impossible for them to make any repairs to the house, and the only option left is to endure and cope with their difficult circumstances.
