HASAN’S STORY

Hasan is 36 years old and works collecting scrap metal and cans to earn a living for his family of four. Every day, he goes out into the streets and neighborhoods searching for income, trying to provide the most basic necessities for his family with a very modest income that barely covers essential needs.

Hasan lives with his family in a two-story family house, but the building is old and severely deteriorated. Over time, it became unfit for living. One day, part of the house ceiling collapsed and fell on Hasan, causing injuries that required medical follow-up. Thankfully, his health condition has improved and he is now in the recovery phase, but the real danger still remains.

Following the incident, an official order was issued to evacuate the house as it was deemed unsafe for habitation. This left the family facing a harsh reality, with no safe place to shelter them. While still recovering, Hasan is burdened more by fear for his family’s safety than by his own physical pain, as he is unable to repair the house or secure a suitable alternative with his limited means.

Hasan’s story is not only about an injury, it is about a family searching for safety and a home that urgently needs intervention to become a livable place once again.
