NADIA’S STORY

For Nadia, 56 years old, the loss of her husband in 2019 was not just a passing event in her life, but a turning point that completely changed the course of her family’s future. His suffering began with back pain due to a herniated disc, then his condition suddenly worsened after a severe drop in white blood cells. He fell into a coma followed by cardiac arrest, bringing a long journey of fear and anxiety to a tragic end.

Her husband passed away, leaving Nadia alone to face life, responsible for five children. Her eldest is 27 years old, while the youngest is only 15. In a single moment, she went from being a wife sharing responsibility to a mother carrying the full burden on her shoulders.

It was not easy. The loss left a deep psychological impact on her children and created a painful void in their home. Nadia tried to remain strong in front of them, hiding her grief so they would not feel weakened, holding herself together so they would not feel lost. She understood that her children needed a strong mother, even if she felt broken inside.

Over the past years, she has devoted her time and effort to raising her children and following up on their needs, determined that they complete their education and build a better future despite the difficult circumstances. The path has not been easy, but her belief in keeping the family united has driven her to continue.

Nadia’s story is not just one of loss, but of a mother who endured illness, then endured absence, and chose to remain strong for her five children, believing that today’s sacrifice is an investment in their tomorrow.
