A new hope for 50 families in Gaza Camp, Jerash providing bread to preserve their dignity and ensure a better life
AMOUNT NEEDED 1,500 JOD
Through the Loaf of Bread campaign, we will be able to provide 50 families in Gaza Camp with bread for an entire month, as each family consumes bread worth 1 JOD daily.
Case Description
In Gaza Camp, Jerash, 50 families struggle daily for the simplest necessities of life searching for a loaf of bread. It's not just food; it’s the only hope that fills the empty stomachs of hungry children and the weary hearts of mothers worn down by sorrow.
Among these families are widows who have lost their support, orphans waiting for a bite to ease their hunger, and individuals with special needs requiring care beyond their families' capabilities.
Bread is the cornerstone of their lives, present at every meal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A family of seven consumes around 2 kilograms of bread daily, costing just 1 dinar. Yet, this small amount becomes a heavy burden over the month, totaling 30 JOD an amount they cannot afford.
These families do not seek luxury but the simplest right in life - a loaf of bread to preserve their dignity and grant them a chance at a new day. Be the hand that reaches out to them, offering the life they deserve. Here, giving not only feeds the hungry but also plants hope in hearts worn down by pain.
One of the prophetic sayings that encourages feeding others is the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):
"O people, spread peace, feed the hungry, maintain family ties, and pray at night while others sleep, and you will enter Paradise in peace."
A team member from the "From To" group (the entity that sent the case) will give families bread vouchers to be redeemed from one of the local bakeries in the camp, and families can exchange the vouchers for bread or cake.
