Be helpful in providing the price of a loaf of bread for needy families for a month

Through the Loaf of Bread campaign, we will be able to provide 50 families in the Jarash (Gaza) camp in Jordan with a full month of bread.

Case Description   

There are at least 50 families in the Gaza camp who suffer from their inability to secure the simplest thing a person can eat, which is a loaf of bread. The number of members of each family ranges between 5-10 people, including individuals with special needs, widows, and orphans.

Bread is considered the most important part of their diet. It is often eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a family of 7 can consume 2 kilos of bread per day (costing 1 JOD). This means 30 JOD per month, which often constitutes a large portion of a family's monthly expenses. If a family member has a disease such as diabetes, for example, she needs special bread and also a special diet, all of which increases the financial burden on the family beyond their financial capabilities.

One of the most important acts of kindness encouraged by Islam is feeding food. As the Prophet of God, peace and blessing be upon him, said: In the holy hadith (Indeed, in Paradise there are rooms whose outside can be seen from their inside, and their inside from their outside, which God Almighty has prepared for those who feed food, speak slowly, continue fasting, and pray at night while the people are asleep).

Some from the "From To" initiative (Frmtoo) will give families bread vouchers to be redeemed from one of the local bakeries in the camp, and families can exchange the vouchers for bread or cake.
