AYA’S STORY

Aya is an 18-year-old girl who lives in Borbeita, a remote area in Al-Tafilah governorate, where simplicity meets the beauty of nature. However, being distant from the city where more services are available brings with it a set of challenges especially for ambitious students like Aya.

Aya is an outstanding high school student in her senior year known for her perseverance and hard work despite the difficult conditions surrounding her. She joined the scientific stream hoping to fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor or an architect.

Unfortunately, the road to success is not always smooth! Aya faces a lot of challenges in the math and english subjects, which are two main ones in the scientific stream, because teachers are not able to reach this remote area due to the unavailability of public transportation there.

Having the ambition that she has, Aya has not given in to the difficult conditions that surround her. Instead, she studied on her own and searched for other resources that could help her understand all the concepts in hope for a better future. Aya is not asking for the impossible to happen. A little support, fair play, and a reassuring “you’ve got this!”  is all that she needs to make her dream come true
