ALMUTASEM BELAH’S STORY
Almutasem is a determined 17-year-old high school student preparing for the national exam. He faces significant challenges in his studies due to severe vision loss in both eyes—a condition he has lived with since the age of six. His vision is extremely limited, and he can only see objects very close to his eyes.
To help him study, his mother writes out his lessons in large print. However, this is not a sustainable solution for a student preparing for such a crucial exam. What Almutasem truly needs is a magnifier—one that will allow him to scan over text and read clearly and independently.
He also requires surgery to correct eye misalignment (exotropia), which would support his ability to focus and learn. In addition to this condition, Almutasem suffers from retinal photoreceptor dysfunction and severe nearsightedness.
His father is unable to work due to health issues, making it difficult for the family to cover these essential costs. With your support, Almutasem can continue his education with confidence. Every contribution brings him closer to a future where vision loss no longer limits his potential.
