CALL TO ACTION
The Ministry of Social Development in Jordan launched the “Hurry to Charity'' campaign which aims to raise 750,000 JD’s to provide 30,000 food parcels to needy families across the Kingdom of Jordan. The beneficiaries will be Jordanian families officially registered with the Ministry of Social Development and the National Aid Fund - as well as Palestinian refugees within the refugee camps.
The food parcels will be distributed in Jordan’s 12 governorates, which include the three Jordan Badia regions (Central, Southern, and Northern) in addition to 13 Palestinian refugee camps. Each food parcel will include essential foods such as legumes, canned goods, rice, and sugar which will help satisfy the needs of those fasting in Ramadan.
The parcels will be distributed throughout the 30 day campaign during Ramadan. One aim of this campaign is to reduce the financial burden of needy families during Ramadan; especially due to the tough economic situation caused by COVID.
