In this Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”), “Tadamon” refers to Tadamon for Societal Development, a nonprofit limited liability company registered and licensed in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (License No. J.M/1/12261). [DN1] [IN2] Tadamon aims to support underprivileged individuals across various aspects of their lives, including health, education, nutrition, housing, environment, and more, by organizing and verifying fragmented charity cases and presenting them on a unified online platform that enables users to identify and support verified causes. This includes the platform(s), web pages(s) and applications owned and/or operated by Tadamon (“Platform”). Tadamon acts as the data controller responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing personal data in accordance with the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 (“PDPL”).

This Privacy Policy describes how Tadamon collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with its Platform and Services. It forms an integral part of Tadamon’s Terms and Conditions, and by using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

Tadamon may update or amend this Policy periodically to reflect legal, operational, or technical developments. If any change materially affects how we process your Personal Data, we will provide prior notice through the Platform or by email (where possible).

Please take the time to carefully read the Privacy Policy.  By using the Platform, You explicitly provide your consent, which is required prior to collection or processing of your Information. If You do not want Tadamon to collect, store, use or share Your Information in the ways described in this Privacy Policy, You should refrain from using Our Platform. The type of information we collect may vary depending on your use of our Platform.

Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms and Conditions unless otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy.

  1.       Scope of Policy

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how and why We may collect, use, process, and disclose Your information, including personal information, in conjunction with Your access to and use of the Platform or use of any of Our Services.

Information” in this Privacy Policy is any data or information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person about personal or objective circumstances, e.g. Your name, address or e-mail address, IP addresses and Device-related identifiers.

This Privacy Policy governs and details the main principles that Tadamon applies to the data We collect and process, to (i) accept and process donations; (ii) share awareness, educational, or promotional content about Tadamon’s charitable initiatives, only where Users have consented to receive such communications; and (iii) operate and improve Our website www.tadamon.world (“Website”). This Privacy Policy also aims to remind You about Your rights and provide You with all the elements You need to exercise such rights.

When we say “Tadamon”, “Platform”, “Our,” “We,” or “Us,” we are talking about Tadamon and any of its subsidiaries, all Tadamon applications and services available on, with and via the Platform. This Privacy Policy applies to all of Our websites, applications, services, features, software, products, content, Website and/or the other domains provided by Tadamon (together, “Services”) unless specified otherwise. Whereas “You”, “Your” and “User” shall refer to any visitor, user or person who accesses, or uses the Platform in any manner whatsoever.

  1.       Information We Collect

We collect Information in order to provide and improve Our Services and Platform, to administer Your use of the Services and Platform, and to enable You to easily navigate Our Services and Platform. To the extent necessary to fulfill one or more of the functions and activities of the Platform and Services, by reasonable means, You provide us with your Information and details with Your consent to use, process, share and make available, where applicable, to other users and/or any third-party or the public as deemed necessary.

When you use Our Platform, Services or engage in certain activities, or contact us directly, We may ask You to provide some or all of the following types of information:

-            Installing the app:

If You use the Services or Platform without creating an account on Our Platform, You will not need to enter Your Information (please mind below the Information which is collected automatically). 

If you create an account on Our Platform using Your login credentials from one of Your third-party services accounts such as but not limited to Facebook, You share Your public profile information (such as, but not limited to, name, profile picture). If You create an email-based account, we will request Your name and email address in addition to any other Information as required.

-            Personal Information

We may collect Information (information that can be used to identify You as an individual) such as your name, email, telephone number, home address, demographic information (such as zip code and age), contact details (if You voluntarily share or sync them) and/or payment information, including account or credit card numbers and details. We may also collect Information pertaining to Your activities on Our Platform, and notably the way in which You interact with Our Platform, such as, the duration of Your use of Our Platform and the number of Ads You see per day.

Please note that all Personal Information, including credit/debit card details and personally identifiable information will not be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any third parties, except as expressly stated in this Privacy Policy, the Terms & Conditions, or as required by payment processors, payment gateways, governmental authorities, or applicable law.

-            Making a donation via the Platform: 

If You make a donation via the Platform, You will be asked to provide Your preferred payment method information in addition to Your personal Information as You have created an account at the Platform. We may collect information as required to verify Your identity, and prevent fraud or illegal activities, and in order to comply with the license and legal obligations, where applicable.

-            Communications with Us: 

When You choose to request information about Our Services, subscribe to Our newsletter, seek support, submit questions, inquiries or requests - such as those relating to donations, alerts, support services or technical assistance, or otherwise communicate with Us directly or through third parties, We may collect Information from You, such as Your email address and Your first and last name. This information is collected to enable us to respond to Your requests, provide the requested services, and communicate with You effectively.

-            User-generated content: 

Whenever You use or visit Our Platform and Services, Tadamon uses a variety of technologies to collect information about You (“Usage Information”).

You may be able to customize and create certain content such as teams, text and audio-visual materials.

In addition to the information, You choose to provide to Us, We and Our service providers also use standard technologies to automatically collect certain additional information:

We automatically record Usage Information about how You use Our Services and Platform. Usage Information includes without limitation, information such as the name of your internet service provider, browser and Device type, cookie identifiers, Advertiser ID, application, and Your use of features on the application version you are using, and any website that may refer You to Us and the pages you visit to help manage and enhance the Platform and Services, and other Device identifiers that are automatically assigned to your computer or Device when you access the Internet, operating system, country, languages, hardware type, the pages and the preceding page views or features of our Services to which you browsed and the time spent on those pages or features, the links on our Services that you clicked on and other statistics. We use such data to administer the Platform and Services and we analyze (and may engage third parties to analyze) such data to improve, customize, and enhance our Platform and Services by expanding features and functionality and tailoring them to individuals’ needs and preferences.

-            Other information You provide to Us:

When You provide Us with additional information other than the information under this Privacy Policy, We collect the information, for example when You provide Us with your financial data, or when you communicate with others or post, use messenger or chat services, upload or store content, contact our support team, or provide billing information, You give Us Your consent to process the provided information for the intended purpose.

-            Analytics Tools:

We use analytical technologies to help us understand how users interact with our Platform, including Microsoft Clarity. For details on these tools and how to manage your preferences, please see Section 8 (Microsoft Clarity and Behavioral Analytics).

-            Device Identifier:

Whenever You use or visit Our Platform and Services, Tadamon uses a variety of technologies to collect Information about User’s Internet Protocol (IP) address or other unique identifiers for any Device You use to access and use Our Platform such as (computer, mobile phone, tablet or any other Device). We, Our affiliates, service providers, business partners or any third party may use a Device identifier among other things, to administer the application; help diagnose problems, analyze trends, track users’ web page movement over time and access different websites, platforms or other mobile, online or offline services.

  1.       Information from Other Sources

We may receive Information about You from other Users, third parties, and affiliates. For example, if You access Our Services or Platform through an application of a third party, such as the App Store/Google Play Store, or a Social Networking Service (“SNS”), or when You connect your account to third-party services, we may collect such information about You from that third-party application that You have made public in accordance with the privacy policies and authorization procedures determined by those services. Information We collect through third-party applications may include Your name, Your SNS User identification number, Your SNS username, profile picture, and optionally Your email and list of Your contacts on the SNS. 

  1.       Why We Use Your Information (Legal Basis for Processing)

Our primary legal basis for processing Personal Data under the Jordanian Personal Data Protection Law No. 24 of 2023 is explicit, documented consent, obtained for clearly defined purposes and limited durations.

When You access, install and/or use the Platform, We may collect and process some of Your Information for different legitimate purposes. We acquire, hold, use, and process Information for a variety of purposes, including:

-            to provide You with the services you requested, where such processing is necessary to deliver those Services;

-            to run analytics and understand how Users interact with Our Platform and Services in order to continuously improve them;

-            to analyze user interactions through website analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity, in order to improve usability, accessibility, and performance of our Platform. Such data may also be used for security and fraud prevention, to understand how features on the Platform are used, and to improve our products and services more generally.

-            to provide, personalize, and improve Your experience with the Platform and Services, for example by providing customized, personalized, or localized content, recommendations, features, and advertising related to the Services on or outside of the Services;

-            to ensure the technical functionality of the Platform and Services, develop new features and services, and analyze Your use of the Service, including Your interaction with the mobile application, advertising, products, and Services that are made available, linked to, or offered through the Platform;

-            To communicate with You for Service-related, research, marketing, and promotional purposes, whether directly or through one of Our partners, including via emails, notifications, or other messages that You agree to receive. Such communications are made in accordance with any permissions You have provided to Us. Further details on how You can manage or opt out of certain communications are set out in the (User Access and Control) section below;

-            to process Your payment and prevent or detect fraud including fraudulent payments and fraudulent use of the Platform or Services;

-            to enable and promote the Platform and Services and other relevant services or products, either within or outside the Platform, including features and content of the Platform, Services and products made available through the Platform.

We collect and process Personal Data only with Your explicit consent, which We obtain before any processing begins. This consent is specific to the stated purpose and time period, and You may withdraw Your consent at any time without any negative consequences.

In limited situations allowed by the PDPL, We may process Personal Data without consent for example, when required by law, to protect someone’s vital interests, to prevent or investigate a crime, or for scientific or statistical purposes that do not involve decisions affecting any identifiable person.

For all data processing activities that rely on the User’s consent, and to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation mainly for users from the European Union, You grant us Your consent to process Your data by simply using Our Services. Withdrawal of such consent may be made at any time by contacting Us via the Contact section in this Privacy Policy, Tadamon reserves the right to take a reasonable period of time to assess and implement the request.

 

We will process Your Information where necessary for Tadamon’s legitimate interests, pursued for ensuring secure optimization and improvement of Our Services, Platform and overall performance.

  1.       Sharing Information with Third Parties

Tadamon does not share Your Information with third parties except as stated in this Privacy Policy or as required by law or practice. We may share the Information with the following categories of recipients:

-            We provide Information to trusted partners who work on our behalf, based on our instructions and in compliance with appropriate confidentiality measures. For instance, We use technical service providers that operate the technical infrastructure that we need to provide the Service, and in particular, those that host, store, manage, and maintain the application, its content and the data we process.

-            We share usage and behavioral data collected via Microsoft Clarity with Microsoft in order to process and analyze it under their applicable privacy and security policies. Microsoft does not use this data to identify you personally beyond what is described in their privacy documentation. -            We may access, preserve, and disclose Information to investigate, prevent, or take action in connection with: (i) legal process and legal requests; (ii) claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; (iii) protecting the rights, property or personal safety of Tadamon, its users, or the public; (iv) establishing or exercising our legal rights or defending against legal claims; or (v) as otherwise required by law.

-            We may share Information with competent authorities or regulators where required to comply with applicable laws or lawful orders.

-            We will not use or share Personal Data for any marketing, promotional, or profiling activities without your explicit, prior consent. This applies in Jordan and any other jurisdiction where such consent is required. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

  1.       Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for use by children under the legal age (depending on the jurisdiction of the User) as defined under applicable laws. By accessing and using our Platform and Services, You hereby consent that You meet the legal age requirements of Your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly or willingly market to, and do not knowingly or willingly collect any Information from or about a child under the legal age, as stated above, without the consent of the child’s parent or legal guardian. Where a user lacks legal capacity, we will obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian (or court-approved guardian where applicable) before processing.

  1.       Cookies, Third-Party Software Development Kits, and Tracking

By setting a Cookie, Tadamon will remember the User the next time the User visits the Services or Platform. The User is always free to decline our Cookies if the User’s browser permits, although in that case the User may not be able to use certain features of the Services or Platform and may be required to re-enter information more frequently to use certain features of the Services and Platform.

In addition to our own cookies, we use third-party analytics tools such as Microsoft Clarity, which employ first-party and third-party cookies to enable aggregated session-recording and heat-map analysis. These cookies help us improve usability and detect technical issues. Further information is provided in Section 8.

If you prefer not to have Your sessions recorded by Microsoft Clarity, You may opt out or disable this tracking: You can disable cookies in your browser, use privacy-oriented tools or browser extensions, or follow Microsoft’s own settings (if made available).

We use third-party software development kits (“SDKs”) as part of the functionality of Our Services. Third-party SDKs may allow third parties including advertisers to collect Your Information to provide content that is more relevant to You.

Some of the advertisements You see on the Website are selected and delivered by third parties, such as ad networks, advertising agencies, advertisers, and audience segment providers. These third parties may collect information about You and Your online activities, either on the Website or on other websites, through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies in an effort to understand Your interests and deliver to You advertisements that are tailored to Your interests. Please remember that we do not have access to, or control over, the information these third parties may collect. The information practices of these third parties are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

  1.       Microsoft Clarity and Behavioral Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity, a user-behavior analytics tool provided by Microsoft Corporation, to better understand how users interact with our Platform and improve user experience.

Clarity uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about user behavior (such as page views, scrolls, clicks, and mouse movements) and standard Internet log information (such as IP address, Device type, browser type, and referring/exit pages).

This data helps us diagnose usability issues and optimize the Website’s design and performance.

Microsoft Clarity may record session replays (visual representations of user interactions) in a way that masks sensitive fields (e.g., payment or personally identifying information). Clarity does not collect or store personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily submit it through forms on our Platform.

The information collected by Microsoft Clarity is processed in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

  1.       Social Media Platforms 

From within the Platform, Users are able to share content on Social Networking Service (SNS), such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and WhatsApp. When you interact with such social media widgets or share buttons, these social network companies may collect information about you and/or your Device and connection. Your interactions with these services are governed by the respective privacy policies of the companies providing these services

  1.   Payment Cards and Transactions

Tadamon commits to observing the confidentiality of Information relating to the payment card’s information and that of transactions effected thereby.

Secured payments through the payment card are only accepted via Tadamon's payment channels/gateway.

By using Tadamon’s Platform, and hence payment channels/gateway, the User donating consents explicitly (where required) to collection, storage, and processing of any data via a secured connection by Tadamon and/or any third parties such as the payment service providers on the Platform, and for the purposes of such collection, storage and processing of any data for the purpose of the desired donation. 

The cardholder (You) must retain a copy of transaction records along with this Privacy Policy.

Tadamon will not deal or provide any Services to any of OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions countries.

  1.   User Access and Control of Personally Identifiable Information

If you would like to access, review, correct, update, transfer (right to data portability), delete or otherwise limit Our use of Your Information We have collected, You may access Your Information or request deletion of Your Information by contacting us using the contact information mentioned in this Privacy Policy. We will try to respond to Your request as soon as reasonably practicable.

For users in Jordan, users have the right to: (i) Access and obtain a copy of their data; (ii) Withdraw consent; (iii) Correct/update data; (iv) Restrict processing to a defined scope; (v) Erase or conceal data where PDPL criteria are    met; (vi) Object to processing and profiling where unnecessary/excessive/discriminatory; (vii) Portability (transfer a copy to another controller); (viii) Be informed of any data breach affecting their data, as required by law.

You may opt out of having your Information used or disclosed for certain purposes.

If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us on a going-forward basis, you may opt out of receiving such communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.

You may opt out of Microsoft Clarity analytics by disabling cookies in your browser or using browser-based “Do Not Track” settings.

Tadamon may send you push notifications with notices that may be of interest to you. You may at any time opt out from receiving these types of communications by changing the settings within the Service or on your Device.

  1.   User Account Deletion

You have the right to have your account on the Platform deleted at any given time. You can do so by sending an email to hello@tadamon.world, with the subject of the email being “Delete My Account – [Your Account Name]”, entailing all Your account details in the body of the email. Tadamon may ask for additional information to be provided to be able to initiate and confirm the deletion of Your account.

When we confirm to You that Your account is deleted, the information and other data linked to the account will be deleted, to the extent reasonably applicable, as Tadamon may retain any needed information (e.g. financial information) pursuant to this Privacy Policy and section 13 below.  

Such deletion of the account shall be considered permanent and final; and cannot be reversed, and You will not be able to recover any information later.

  1.   Data Retention

We retain Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law, regulation, or legitimate business needs for Tadamon.

Data collected through Microsoft Clarity or other analytics tools is retained only for the duration required to analyze and improve Platform performance, in accordance with our data-retention schedule and the provider’s own policies.

When deletion is not immediately possible (for example, due to technical or legal constraints), Tadamon will take all reasonable measures and attempt to securely store the data until it can be deleted or anonymized in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

  1.   Security

Tadamon implements appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include encryption, restricted-access controls, secure hosting environments, and continuous system monitoring.

All third-party service providers that process data on Tadamon’s behalf, including analytics and payment providers, are contractually bound to apply equivalent or higher standards of security and confidentiality, in accordance with the PDPL and applicable international standards.

Tadamon regularly reviews and updates its security controls to align with technological progress and industry best practice. While no system of data transmission over the Internet is completely secure, Tadamon maintains layered safeguards designed to minimize the likelihood of unauthorized access.

In the event of a personal-data breach likely to cause harm to any individual, Tadamon shall promptly notify the affected Users and the competent authority (the PDPL Unit) without undue delay, describing the nature of the breach, the data affected, potential consequences, and remedial steps taken, where such nature can be identified.

 

  1. International Data Transfers

We may transfer or allow access to Personal Data outside Jordan, cloud-service providers, and payment processors.

Before any transfer, Tadamon evaluates whether the recipient jurisdiction ensures an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPL. Where the destination does not provide an adequate level of protection, we will:

(i)                      implement contractual or technical safeguards required by the PDPL; and/or

(ii)                   obtain your explicit consent after informing you of the potential risks; or

(iii)                 rely on another lawful PDPL transfer condition (such as necessity for contract performance).

Tadamon maintains a record of all international transfers, the purposes, safeguards, and consents obtained, and ensures that all recipients apply appropriate security and confidentiality measures.

For European-based Users, data transfers are also subject to the GDPR, including the use of Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms.

  1.   Notification of Changes

Tadamon may update or amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its activities, legal requirements, or technical developments.

When a change materially affects how your Personal Data is processed, Tadamon will provide prior notice by email, in-app notification, or a clear notice on the Platform before the new version takes effect. Minor editorial or administrative updates will be posted without separate notice.

The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the Policy was last revised. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice or posting constitutes your acknowledgment and acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Platform and exercise your rights under this Agreement.

Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
