More than 79% of higher education campuses in Gaza have been damaged or destroyed, leaving 88,000 students without access to education. Here's how Tadamon is responding.
Since the beginning of the events until today, 79 Gazan university students have been enrolled and supported. Among them, 25 students have graduated, and 3 have continued their academic journey by pursuing master’s degrees.
Our support continues for the remaining 56 students who are still studying, to help cover their various needs for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, from October 2025 until February 2026.
Tadamon provides a variety of students’ needs where assistance is provided according to each student's needs. Here we are sharing with you the tangible outcomes of your contribution:
- University Tuition Fees: The tuition fees for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year has been covered for 23 students.
- Accommodation: The accommodation fees for 34 students has been covered until the end of June, providing them with a safe and stable living environment during their studies.
- Transportation: 32 students have access to transportation to and from the universities and their homes. This assistance, facilitated through the Careem app, eases their commute and enhances their overall experience. We would also like to thank Careem for their generous discounted rates to support the students.
- Food and Groceries: Your donations provide all the students with essential sustenance. They benefit from a 40 JOD monthly balance on the Careem app, allowing them to order the meals they desire. Additionally, they receive a supermarket card (from Sameh Mall) that is topped up monthly, ensuring access to groceries to meet their monthly needs.
- Medicine: For 3 students grappling with chronic illnesses, your support ensures they receive the necessary medication promptly, easing their health concerns and enabling them to focus on their studies.
Your generosity is transforming lives and alleviating the financial burdens faced by these students. Together, we are empowering them to pursue their education without the weight of financial hardship.
On behalf of Tadamon, we extend our sincerest gratitude for your generous donation and unwavering support towards the Gaza University Students’ campaign. Your commitment to this cause is deeply appreciated and has a profound impact on the lives of the students we serve.
Please note that the number of students Tadamon supports may/will increase due to your donations. We aim to raise more donations from now to ensure we can continue to support the students in the upcoming academic years.
