Case description

AMOUNT NEEDED   2,000 JOD

Rana must pay 2,000 JOD immediately to settle a due amount she has from a previous loan she took years ago. The settlement amount is urgently needed before an escalation happens in court.

RANA’S STORY

Life oscillates between hardship and ease, but surely with hardship comes ease.

With God’s will and with your benevolence, relief will come to Rana, 39 years old, by extending a helping hand to help her secure 2,000 JOD for the loan that she started in 2013. She was committed to paying the monthly payments, but conditions changed after her husband suffered a stroke as a result of the pressures of life; he lost his job during the COVID pandemic, and his health deteriorated. Despite this, he did not give up in the face of life's obstacles. He started to freelance within the framework of his profession, but the financial income was no longer what it was before; therefore, the burdens became heavy on him, and he was no longer able to provide his family's basic needs from his daily work.

Life and priorities changed, and Rana became the primary breadwinner for the family, and her income was no longer sufficient to cover the family’s needs - other than covering the obligatory monthly expenses, such as  electricity and water bills.

The total amount of the loan and due fees are 12,900 JOD. It was decided to settle with the bank by paying 2,000 JOD as a first payment. Rana will then pay the remaining amount with an installment plan, paying 150 JOD a month for the first year and 200 JOD a month for the remainder of the due amount.
