MUNA’S STORY

Muna, 40 years old, lives under extremely difficult conditions in a small 85-square-meter house located in one of the poorest neighborhoods, where even basic services such as water, electricity, and proper sewage system are lacking.

The house consists of two rooms, a living area, a kitchen, and a bathroom, but its structural condition is very poor. The zinc-covered roof turns the home into an oven during the summer, while in winter, rainwater leaks through, soaking the walls and furniture and causing severe humidity and damage. The exterior walls remain unfinished, leaving the house vulnerable to harsh weather conditions.

Her husband, who suffers from 80% disability due to psychological disorders, is unable to work. This has left Muna solely responsible for supporting their family of six, enduring constant struggle and financial hardship.

Despite the challenges, Muna continues to fight for a better life for her children, hoping that one day their home will become a safe, comfortable place to live in.
