KEFA’S STORY
Kefa, 59, has been a widow since 2017, when her husband passed away after a sudden stroke, leaving behind four children. Today, the oldest is 26 and the youngest is 18. In that moment, everything in her life changed, and she became the only support and primary provider for her family.
Losing her life partner was not easy, but what weighed on her even more was the responsibility she felt toward her children. She realized she had to be strong for them and transform her grief into patience and determination.
Since then, Kefa has taken on the responsibility of meeting her household’s needs and striving to provide whatever she can for their daily life. She manages her home wisely, trying to balance limited income with many needs, while instilling in her children the values of self-reliance and hope for the future.
Her children have grown before her eyes, each carrying dreams they hope to achieve. Through it all, Kefa remains their greatest supporter, encouraging them despite her exhaustion and hiding her worries so they do not feel the weight of their circumstances.
Kefa’s story is not only the story of a widow, but the story of a strong mother who believed that her role did not end with her husband’s passing. Instead, a new chapter of sacrifice and patience began. To this day, she stands firm, hoping to see her children in the best circumstances and praying that Allah will reward her for the many years of struggle.
