Case update

Isam was unable to learn to drive due to him taking care of his mother and following up on her health

The goal of the campaign was to help Isam's mother get the medicine she needed and a wheelchair to make it easier for her to get around. It was also meant to help Isam get a driver's license so he could get a job and support his family, since he is their only source of income.

We would like to inform you that the wheelchair was purchased on  June 8, 2022 for Isam's mother. The necessary medicines were also provided for Isam’s mother for three months only with the total amount of 112.19 JOD out of 150 JOD so 37.81 JOD remained in her balance. We did not finish buying medicines for Isam's mother, because the medicines were stopped by her doctor.

Isam was enrolled in a driving center so that he could get a license, and he actually started learning how to drive on September 6, 2022. Isam requested to change the driving center and we did upon his request. Then Isam informed us that his mother is ill and she needs care and attention, and he wants to focus on that. And that he will finish his lessons later.

Then, on January 19, 2023, the beneficiary called us and said he wanted to stop the campaign because he didn't have any time and because his mother was sick and he needed to stay with her to take care of her and do his duty towards her.

We waited a while to get back in touch with the beneficiary and ask if he was ready to go back to the driving center. But he requested that the campaign stop.

In the end, 150 JOD was set aside for learning to drive, and 142.50 JOD was left over. Another 150 JOD was set aside to buy medicine for Isam's mother, and 37.81 JOD was left over. These remaining amounts/donations were dealt with accordingly as per our discussion and agreement with the donor; either it was refunded to the donor or transferred to another case.
