SAQER’S STORY
Saqer is a 65-year-old man who has lived a life of quiet endurance. At just six months old, a penicillin injection resulted in polio paralysis that confined him to a wheelchair. Over the years, even simple things like going to the store or visiting the doctor have been very difficult for him.
In addition to the lifelong paralysis, Saqer now faces diabetes and slipped discs in his back, compounding his pain and making everyday tasks that much harder. He had a manual wheelchair, but it broke and is now used only to help him get into the car occasionally. The idea of running errands, going for a check-up, or even leaving the house has become a daunting task.
What Saqer needs now is an electric wheelchair, a tool of independence, mobility, and dignity. He doesn't ask for luxury; he only wants the chance to reclaim a part of his life and move without constant reliance or pain. His financial situation means he cannot bear the cost on his own.
Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward restoring movement, restoring autonomy, restoring hope.
