RAYA’S STORY 

Raya, 19 years old, lives with her family of seven in one of Irbid’s villages. Despite the simplicity of life there, she carried within her a dream bigger than her surroundings. She has always been passionate about languages, especially English, in which she scored highly in high school. She chose to study English/French at Yarmouk University to open the door to a wider and different future.

Raya is now in her second academic year (first semester). She has completed 36 out of 132 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 77.4%. Thanks to her academic excellence, she received a scholarship and now pays only 10% of her tuition fees, which helped her continue her educational journey.

She is now preparing to register 15 credit hours for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Raya believes that every semester she completes brings her one step closer to her dream of excelling in languages and building a future that reflects her ambition and the sacrifices her family made to support her despite their circumstances.
