TAHANI’s STORY

Tahani is a 39-year-old mother caring for six children. With multiple ailments, the responsibility of caring for her ill husband and children, and the lack of a reliable source of income to cover their monthly expenses, makes life very hard for her to manage. The only thing that remotely resembles an income is the variable amount that her husband earns from breeding and selling birds, which barely pays for the most basic necessities.

Things came to a breaking point when Tahani’s  seven-kilo washing machine stopped draining water and her water tank got punctured and damaged, rendering it useless. Moreover, nothing is more difficult to a mother than watching her children be miserable in a time of celebration. Therefore, Tahani would love to buy the children new clothes to wear during Eid.
