270   Closing openings in the roof (which leaks water) as well as the fixing current damaged doors and and installing a new door

KHALED'S STORY

Khaled is 28 years old, lives in Jarash (Gaza) Camp, and is the sole breadwinner for his family of four. He earns his living by working in loading and unloading goods and also in picking olives when the season comes. 

With the small amount of money he receives, he can barely provide for his family's basic needs, and this prevents him from saving any money to repair the old house in which he lives. Some of the roofs were covered with zinc metal plates, and their walls absorbed rainwater, becoming saturated with moisture and exuding a musty odor, affecting all of their physical health.
