BAHAA’S STORY
Bahaa, 43 years old, works as a day laborer whenever opportunities arise, one day picking olives, another day working as a driver. His main concern is providing food for his family. Despite the great effort he puts in, he does not have a stable job, leaving his family’s financial situation uncertain.
His wife stands by his side and helps as much as she can by giving English and mathematics lessons to a small number of students in the area. Her modest income has become the family’s main source of support.
The family consists of six members, the oldest of whom is no more than ten years old. Their home is very small: one bedroom, a modest kitchen, and a bathroom that barely meets their needs. Despite the limited space and scarce resources, Bahaa tries to remain strong, believing that his hard work today is the only path towards securing a better life for his children.
