AHMAD’S STORY
Ahmad, 19 years old, began his journey with pain in March 2025, when he experienced severe pressure on his chest and a persistent, intense cough. After a series of medical tests and imaging, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite his young age, he suddenly found himself moving between chemotherapy sessions instead of university classrooms.
However, his illness did not stop him from pursuing his dream. After completing the Arts Stream of the Tawjihi exam in 2024, he enrolled at Jerash University, majoring in English Language and Literature. He successfully completed his entire first year and another semester of the following year, finishing 27 credit hours with a cumulative average of 83.7%. Nevertheless, due to his health condition and the financial burden on his family, he was unable to register for his second-year courses.
Ahmad continues to hold on to hope and dreams of returning to his university soon. He plans to register for 18 credit hours in the second semester of his second year, but he needs support to give him the opportunity to continue his academic journey, one he believes is part of his healing and an essential part of his future.
