Basma's foot operation was completed successfully by another donor/entity. Yet, she now needs an eye operation
On February 10, 2024, the operation to remove the protruding bone in Basma’s foot was performed in one of the hospitals by another donor/entity, and her condition is now stable and well.
Yet, it turns out that Basma needs a different operation for her eyes. She suffers from keratoconus in both eyes, accompanied by a deviation which causes poor vision. Keratoconus is an eye condition in which the cornea (the clear, dome-shaped front of the eye) gets thinner and gradually bulges outward into a cone shape. Basma also needs corneal stabilization and laser vision correction. The total cost of this complete procedure is 690 JOD.
Therefore, the amount of 2,000 JOD for Basma’s foot operation is no longer needed. The donations already raised as of now will be allocated for her eye operation which will be performed at The Specialty Hospital for 690 JOD.
