The health of Maryam's family is unstable, and treatment plans & medications change every month

Maryam's family consists of five people who suffer from chronic diseases. The campaign aimed to cover the cost of medicines, physiotherapy, and regular therapy treatments for three months. However, it has been going on until today because of how hard it is for them to change their treatment plans and medicines every month to fit their individual health conditions.

Maryam, mother of 5, received all of her needed medicines from the originally allocated amount of 41 JOD.

Daughter #1

She took four sessions of water therapy instead of regular therapy, as previously mentioned, and based on the doctor's prescription. She felt an improvement, but unfortunately it did not continue, as this treatment was no longer suitable for her and led to a deterioration in her health condition.

She attended a total of nine sessions of psychology, but she did not continue taking them because the treatment plan was inappropriate. She was required to check into the hospital on August 28, 2022, and utilize the funds allotted for physiotherapy and regular therapy treatments to obtain an X-Ray of her pelvis and lower back. Thankfully, the results of the X-Rays were good.

The amount allocated to daughter #1 is 1,360 JOD, yet only 835.95 JOD has been utilized for her. The difference was provided to her siblings (as explained below).

Daughter #2

According to the therapist's report, she completed a total of seven psychology sessions, but unfortunately discontinued the treatment since it was no longer appropriate for her.

The amount allocated to daughter #2 is 360 JOD, and 228 JOD has been utilized.

Daughter #3

After making a minor adjustment to her medications, she now takes them regularly and all is well. Unfortunately, her health condition deteriorated and she was hospitalized during the months of August and September; her condition is currently stable.

The amount allocated to daughter #3 is 51.30 JOD, and 173.10 JOD has been disbursed.

Sons #1 & #2 visited their pulmonologist (lung doctor) for an examination one time, and they are stable. They did not attend the second examination, and therefore the remaining funds were allocated to Daughter #1’s emergency case (as explained above).

The amount allocated to Son #1 is 105 JOD, and 92.31 JOD has been utilized.

The amount allocated to Son #2 is 231 JOD, and 158 JOD has been utilized.

In conclusion:

The total unutilized amount of 670 JOD was allocated to provide the family with monthly medicines as below:

353 JOD were purchased on February 19, 2023

317 JOD were purchased on May 7, 2023

This successfully concludes the campaign.
