Remarkable progress for Alma over two consecutive months at the special education center

Alma, 3 years and 8 months old, showed significant progress during the two-month period from 18/07/2025 – 18/09/2025 in her intensive occupational, speech, and language therapy sessions at a special education center.

Here is the detailed progress report from the center:

Occupational Therapy:

•   Improved purposeful release: Alma is now able to place objects in their correct place without dropping them randomly or throwing them on the floor, with an accuracy of 80%.
•   Spontaneous functional play has emerged using the tools she trained with, reaching 40%.
•   Able to independently match two colors with an accuracy of 50%.
•   Fingertip  strength necessary for bilateral grasp improved by 70%.
•   Can complete tasks without the need for reinforcement.
•   Balance reactions improved by 90%.
•   Protective responses from all positions improved by 75%.

Speech and Language Therapy:

•   Verbal imitation improved: she can now imitate sounds and words at 60%, compared to the beginning.
•   Motor imitation developed: she can now imitate simple movements and activities at 40%.
•   Expressive skills improved both verbally and non-verbally: she uses simple words like “give” or hand gestures to clearly express her needs.
•   Functional play skills also developed: Alma now uses toys and tools appropriately for their purpose, with a 40% improvement.
