HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Amneh, 66 years old, is a widow who suffers from high blood pressure, an imbalance in her thyroid gland, and a herniated disc in her back. Her only daughter is 51 years old and suffers from a lump in her chest and from a herniated disc as well. Amneh's daughter works as a secretary in a doctor's clinic to support her mother. Her income barely covers the costs of medication for her and her mother, and their basic living expenses.
Amneh has been living in a rented house in Jabal Al-Natheef for 35 years. The house is not suitable for living and it is in a very dire condition, as rainwater runs through the kitchen ceiling, making walls damp and worn out. It also does not contain any supplies or kitchen cabinets, and there is a corner of the house that is used as a bathroom, making Amneh and her dauther’s living situation completely unsanitary. The house has only one bedroom, and the door is external, separated from the rest of the house.
Amneh contacted us so that we could help her build a roof for her house to stop rainwater from going inside her house. However, with your generous donations, we can help her fulfill one of humans’ most basic needs, which is to live in a decent, secure home with her daughter.
